The translations of Aurelius, Epictetus, and Seneca displayed on stoicline are in the public domain (George Long 1862/1890; Richard Gummere 1917–1925; and other early 20th-century editions). You may share quotes freely. Code, design, and editorial content (theme intros, FAQ answers, theme groupings) are copyright stoicline and licensed for personal, non-commercial use on this site only.

No warranty

stoicline is provided as-is. We try to be accurate with source attributions and theme tagging, but we don’t guarantee the site is error-free or always available. If you spot a mistake, please write to hello@stoicline.com.

Prohibited use

You may not scrape, frame, or automatedly crawl the site outside of standard search-engine crawling. You may not use stoicline to harass, defame, or promote hatred against any group.
